Privacy policy
This service is designed to answer one question with the least eBay account data practical. This draft describes the current private-beta architecture.
What the service accesses
When you connect eBay, the calculator requests read access to your account identity, seller standards, financial transactions needed to identify eligible final value fees, and return records needed to classify buyer remorse and estimate return-label costs. The service does not edit listings, approve returns, issue refunds, or initiate payments.
How the data is used
The data is used only to build the savings report you request, protect the connection, diagnose failures, and operate the service. We do not sell eBay account data or use it for advertising.
Storage and retention
The current application processes transactions and returns in memory and does not save raw eBay records or completed reports in a seller database. A refresh token is encrypted and stored in an HttpOnly, SameSite browser cookie so the connected session can continue. Hosting providers may retain limited request, security, and error metadata under their own operational retention settings.
Disconnecting and deletion
Selecting Disconnect asks eBay to revoke the refresh token and removes the local session cookie. You can also remove the app from your eBay third-party application permissions. Because the current app does not persist raw seller data, there is no saved report history to delete.
Sharing and service providers
Account data is sent to eBay to complete authorized API requests and may be processed by the infrastructure provider that hosts the service. It is not shared with unrelated third parties except when required by law or necessary to protect the service and its users.
Your choices and contact
You may decline eBay authorization, disconnect at any time, or stop using the service. Before private beta, the operator will publish its legal identity, privacy contact address, hosting provider, and final retention terms here. Do not use this pre-launch build with a production seller account until those details have been completed and reviewed.
Changes
This policy may change as the service adds production infrastructure or saved features. Material changes will be reflected by a new effective date and, when appropriate, an in-product notice.
